Challenge: Create a 100+ page catalog for a California client in a virtual environment. No problem, we've been working together this way on catalogs, packaging, collateral and other materials for over 8 years.
My responsibilities:
• Layout & design
• Product photography and oversee cover shoot
• Line drawings and instructions
• Production and final art for the printer in Taiwan
Solution: I worked with the product/marketing manager on everything from copy and photography to product placement, pagination and layout. The cover image was shot at a studio in Virginia and image files were emailed to California for viewing, input and approval. Upon completion, hi-res PDF art was uploaded to the printer in Taiwan and backup files were sent to the clients DropBox archive.
