Written Reflection
Gathering Inspiration:
In the case of my project, seeing other artworks done by other artists definitely helped to spark my creative process.  By being able to use pinterest to find images and other ideas, I was able to find ideas that helped in my own character.  Technology played a huge part in this role because it is what gave me access to all the sources of the artists. Technology also enables us to learn more because we as students get to experience thousands of artwork at the mere click of a button.

Brainstorming:
Technology help with my sketching and brainstorming through color.  While on the computer, sure I was able to make the shape of my monster like on paper. However, on the computer I was able to experiment with colors and gradients to create an eye pleasing piece to many.  Not only does it aid in color, but using technology allows you to move things in your composition to make the image how you want it to look in the end.

Execution:
I think I would have used color pencils and a lot more time if this technology hadn’t existed. However I find that it would be harder to get my point across of what my character is like. This is because I would be limited to the amounts of mistake I could make on paper. Not only that, but the smooth structures and clean lines that you get out of programs like illustrator are far better than smudges on regular paper. Over all though if technology did not existed I would probably narrate my character with a series of colorful pictures about them.

((Decidophobia))
Where does your character live?
My character lives in a Mindscape Domain known as The Split Decision.  Every single path leads to a never ending fork in the road no matter which way you take.  The sky here is both day and night, the sun’s radiance shining on one half of the land and the other half shaded by the eternal night.  All plants and things that reside along the paths are mirrored to one another creating an a balance of asymmetrical symmetry.  Even the small hut that resides by the first fork in the road of the The Split decision, where my character also resides does not coincide. The right side of the hut is shaped like a triangle on the outside and is bright, colorful, and organized throughout the in. The left side is in the shape of a sphere where all colors are dull, dark and things are sprawled all over making a mess.
Where is your character from?
Originally my character is from what I like to call the Nightmarescape, a dark and dreary part of people’s minds. This is the place where other creatures like my character were formed and assigned a role for them to follow.  The nightmarescape is a desolate place ruled by no other than the boogeyman himself, where he rules over the creatures like my character and makes sure they do the job they were given when they were made.
How old is your character?
Because my character is only a figmentation in the minds of creatures, they have no relative age.
What is your character called?
By their friends, they are known as Bella/Beatrice Inconclusive. By the Boogeyman they are Decidophobia, the fear of making decisions.
What does your character look like?
They have one head that has two very distinct silver lines that cuts down the middle of the face vertically and horizontally.
All clothes are half and half none of the colors are the same except for a big silver question mark on the top.
the sections of the face are all different looking and their hair is in two different styles.
they always have a confused face.
What kind of childhood did your character have?
My character did not have a childhood as it was formed one day as a full adult by the boogeyman.  However when they were first formed, they were taught how to do their job by going through a different form of school.  Once they learned the basic they were dropped into their Mindscape Domain. From then on they had to fend for themselves and do their job or else.
What does your character do for a living?
My characters goes into the dreams of people and preys upon them so it can continue to live. It then replaces the dreams with nightmares that induce the person (people) to start fearing making decisions until they have created the full on phobia inside the person’s brain.  Thus giving them more power.
How does your character deal with conflict and change?
Not very well.  When it comes to conflict, my character is constantly choosing between sides never sure which side to take because they can't make a decision on who to agree with. Which normally leads to them starting the conflict in the first place. As with change, my character can deal with fine because they are constantly changing their mind on things while they are making their decisions.
Who else is in your character’s life?
Other than the boogeyman being my character’s ruler, they do have other friends who are phobias as well. Their best friend and the one decision they are sure of is Atychiphobia or the fear of Failure. They are good friends because my character knows that decisions can lead to failure and atychiphobia is there to remind them what decisions will so they can sometimes have a full fled decision into the next decision they are pondering. There is also the shadow creatures of the nightmare scape that act as pets for the phobias, my character’s pet is a two headed shadow that has the heads of a cat and a dog.
What is your character’s motivation in this scene that you will illustrate?
My character's motivation in the scene I am going to illustrate is them doing their job as a phobia and giving the nightmares to the human’s mind they are in at that time.  It will be able to show how they make choices while creating the nightmares and influence the people i their jobs with their power.
