A Level - Cogs and Gears

This was my A Level Art Exam Project. I chose to study cogs and gears, and as the project continued, I started to include text etc into my work. The majority of my work was done in either pen, pencil and/or monoprinting.
One of my initial studies; in pencil.
A lot of my other initial pieces included chalk and/or pencil drawings, monoprints, and pen drawings
As my project continued, I started to experiment with text and fonts, as well as layering.
This was a sort of "practice piece" for my final exam piece, in which I took techniques from all over my project, and combined them to find out what would work best.
This was my final piece, which was done over the course of a 15 hour exam. The background is a monoprint (white ink on black sugar paper), which was then layered with card, which was shaded in pen.
