The word "black" is only printed in a spot uv gloss, making it appear and disappear at each new angle. Likewise with metal, the word is coated in spot gloss, but the difference is the gray ink beneath it which allows the words to appear at certain angles when "black" does not. 

 

The theme of this exhibition aims to collect artwork that only use black, white, and metal as a tool to powerfully express pattern, texture, shadow and surprise.
