Espeon Gijinka construction

This was definetely a challenge to make. Overall, I am happy with it but I would like to go back and remake this outfit one day. I based this design off Cowslip's fan art of Espeon (http://generalcowslip.tumblr.com).

I constructed a majority of this outfit. The headdress is made out of foam sheets, wires, and fabric. I made a pattern for it and cut the foam sheets to the correct shapes. I added the wire to the foam sheets so it can hold it's shape and so it can be bend and move to whatever position I like. I covered the entirity of the headdress in fabric to hide all the wires and foam. I then added an extra layer of chiffon with sparkles and jewels as well as some lace flowers for detailing. On the underside of the headdress, I added a comb hair clip so it can be attached to the wig without falling.
The wig was lightly styled by braiding a majority of it. I added te two hair accessories on the two front pieces that mimics part of Espeon's ears. I braided the fabric into the wig. I made the two hair accessories out of foam, wire, and fabric.
The top is broken down into 4 separate pieces. The "halter" top part is made with the same chiffon fabric used for the headdress. This was added to give a bit of modesty with the costume while still matching the entirity of the outfit. The white sleeve pictured is part of a crop top that I had (not made by me). Then the final two pieces of the top is the "bra" part and the purple lower half which is tucked under the bra. Instead of sewing it to the bra, i decided to keep it separate in order for the long light purple chiffon fabric to be hidden under the bra as well. The long chiffon pieces are sewed onto elastic and can moved and placed where I want. The strapless bra was bought but I hand sewed all the sparkley chiffon and purple fabric to it.
The opera gloves were bought but I made the chiffon arm accessories. It is attached to elastic which is covered in matching purple fabric with the rest of the costume. The end of the chiffon is sewed through some bangle bracelets.
Finally, the pants are made from chiffon as well. The boy shorts, garter, thigh highs, and shoes were bought. It took me two tried to make the pants; this was my first project working with chiffon so there were a lot of trial and errors.
