Ladies and gentlemen Claudia Loupret

This summer I did a photoshoot with a girl that works at the circus school. Her name is Claudia Loupret . Claudia has a sort of Alana Blanchard wholesome surfer girl style look to her. Although she had never done a photoshoot before she was very professional about it all. I always say that everthing is in the attitude. A very fun and great learning experience for both her and myself.

Makeup was done by my favourite makeup artist MarieLine Linteau. If ever you are in the Quebec city area. She is definitely your girl.

The technical jargon:

This was my first and definitely not my last experience with a beauty dish. To me, they offer a great alternative to the sometimes too soft light you get out of a softbox. Not too harsh and just crisp enough to make the photo pop.

I used 3 Yongnuo 568EX mark 2 flashes. Via the LINKSTAR SLK-8 (Falcon Eyes SGA-K9) flash modifier kit, I used a magenta filter for the background. I also used a shoot through unbrella at super low intensity on her left side to open up some of the shadows.

I could not use a reflector. In my humble opinion, reflectors need to come with assistants. I am not a fan.

Lenses I used:

Canon 85mm f/1.8
Sigma ART 50mm/f1.4
Canon 100mm macro f/2.8 Yup... no zooms.Just fixed focals on this shoot.

I have also written a Blog on the dos and don'ts of working with amateur models. To ge there click on this link:
