Ad Concept and Script for WA State Republican Party

Web Ad for Use as Set Piece for Political Fundraising

Republicans in Washington State hold a minority position in both houses of state government, as well as being shut out of the governor's seat for almost 30 years. The State Party identified early on that winning back 8 seats in the state House, 3 seats in the state Senate and the governor's office in 2012 -- 12 elected positions -- would regain the majority and control of state government for Republicans. Thus, '12 in '12' can change Washington State.

This 2-minute spot was designed to introduce party activists and donors to the simplicity of the objective while also instilling a sense that they were embarking upon a challenge of historic magnitude. It was written to be quickly broken down into a shorter 30-second video ad or a 30-second radio spot.

I was the lead writer of the copy, and co-authored the ad concept. Production was overseen and performed by a third-party vendor.
