A school project from the first year at HDK where we could only use one 2000 x 250 x 170 mm pine plank to create a chair with.
With limited materials you had to think about the machines and how much
material disappears at each sawing.

You had plan for every cut and how much larger every piece had to be, so that after the sawing was done, you still could grind them to the right dimensions.The arches of the chair are made up of 6 layers of glued veneers and the inspiration comes from the frames on a wooden ship.
