This is my personal project to make a pattern design. I don't have experience making a pattern but I learned this skill from skillshare.com - Julia Rothman Pattern Design class. It is quite difficult to design the color to go with the design and the placement as well. They become a bit overwhelming.
The first step is to draw out a pencil sketch.
Then, I transfered the drawing and redrew it in illustrator, which I think outlining on a piece of paper is actually easier.
I tried to make it a sweater pattern.
At last, adding a background color and make it like a wallpaper for phone screen.
