This was a class project in which I created a mock surf & swimwear line called "Swell."
The objective of this project was to create a logo for a hang tag for this mock clothing line.
I wanted the torn edges to represent the foam at the top of the waves, as well as, the
rope to represent a nautical theme.
As for the logo, I wanted there to be a play on words with the brand name itself.
Swell can be indicative of the swell of the waves and that the brand itself is a swell one.
The l's in the word leant themselves very well to becoming the waves and the word fit nicely on the surfboard.
