For Halloween this year my friend, Anna, decided to create her own Jason costume. A photoshoot insued after the completion of her outfit and posted them on Facebook. I came across this image, posted below, and wanted to throw it into photoshop to see what I could do with it.
This would be the original image taken during her photoshoot.
I decided to take the route of an old school horror movie poster. I used 'threshold' on seperate portions of the image to get the look I wanted. I faded the background to give more presence to herself.
I thought I was done until I wanted to add text to the image. There was this huge space to the right that was perfect for vertical text. Since Jason was her costume it was perfect to create an original Friday poster.
To end it all I wanted to distinguish Anna from Jason, so I went and created a different text for the image to make it more personal. I have always spelt her name different than others. It is kind of our thing.
