Tyler Klein Photoshop Project- Before and After

This first picture was taken with flash at the mall using the concrete ground as a background. To edit this, I used blending modes to put a solid purple color over the image. I then edited the values of the picture so the shoes were visible, and it was given a slight tint to match the colors on the shoe.
This picture was taken while I was sitting over a lake, and threw a rock in the water the instant I took the picture to create a splash on the right side of the photo. I then used the clone stam tool to add these bubbles from the splash all over the picture. This creates a unique background for the picture, and made the picture a lot more complex.
This picture of the shoes was taken when I first bought them, as I was excited to see how they would look when I took a picture of them with flash. Using the art history brush, I went over the entire image to make it seem like a painting. This was a very unique effect, and it made the picture seem a lot more abstract.
This picture was also taken outside of the mall, and was taken with flash as the light reflects off the laces creating the effect as shown in the picture. Another person's shoes made it into the picture, but I removed them using the clone stamp tool. This put more emphasis on the shoes that I was wearing, and made the focus of the photograph more clear.
This picture was taken at Fenway park when I went to the Red Sox game and sat in the very front row, right on the field. My shoes were put in the picture as they are the same color as the Red Sox team colors. I wanted to put emphasis on them, so I created an adjustment layer that included everything but the shoes. I then changed that new layer to black and white, creating the effect shown in the picture.
This picture was taken in an outdoor setting, and was taken so I could have a picture of me wearing these shoes. The background of the picture seemed a bit boring to me, so I used the selection tool to change this. I selected everything but the shoes, and used the pencil tool to paint inside this selection so the background would be painted without painting anything onto the shoes.
This picture was taken outside the movies, and focuses on the Air Jordan shoes and the Supreme shirt that I was wearing. I adjusted the color exposure to bring focus to the reds in the picture, as there is red on my shirt and on the shoes. This emphasized the red shoe and matched it with the Supreme logo on the shirt.
This picture was taken on Halloween, as I dressed up as a zombie. The picture was taken with flash, so the result of the photo included major red eye. I simply used the red eye too to get rid of this, and it made me look a little bit creepier in the picture.
This picture was taken of my baby sister, Nora, just a couple weeks after she was born. I wanted to bring emphasis to her and make her the focus of the picture, so I decided the make the background black and white, and kept her in color. I did this by using the gray scale tool to make the area I selected completely black and white.
This picture was taken shortly after I aquired these shoes, and was taken in my room with flash. The colors on each shoe are different (one is blue and one is red), so I wanted to bring emphasis to these colors. I did so by adjusting the highlights and shadows of the picture. This brought out and brightened the colors on the shoes.
