Auroville - a symbol of simplicity and the exotic and a reminder of all that nature has to offer. The enigma that shadows create and the possibilities they offer were explored through techniques of Shibori, Batik and Screen Print, in a product that combined elegance and functionality - a room divider. While the designs on the panel reflect this flirtation with shadows, the divider also creates its own shadows, depending on whether the panels are kept together or then spread out .

FINAL PRODUCT - ROOM DIVIDER
Offering the scope of division - a requirement to separate space without restricting it - the room divider itself creates shadows in the spaces it divides, by tantalising the imagination and teasing the mind to think what lies beyond it.
