Wireless Charging Batteries Concept

The purpose of this project produce a new product with the current emerging technology in the market.

As much as the advancement and popularity of lithium ion battery integrated into devices, there are still many devices which uses cell battery such as AA battery. These devices are commonly remote controls, flashlights, toys etc.
 
Wireless charging can be seen to gain popularity in the consumer electronics industry, hence this project is a concept on how wireless charging can be integrated into a cell battery to produce a wireless charging rechargeble batteries.
 
About 20% of the charge capacity would have to be sacrifice to intergrate the wireless charging ic which has a built in voltage regulator into the top part of a AA size battery.Copper coil would wrap around the battery to achieve the required resonant frequency to make it compliant to current Qi wireless standard. The model of the IC which would be integrated is bq5101xB.
 
With this concept the battery does not have to be replace or remove from the device. The battery would automatically charge itself when the remote control device is placed on a charging mat. A thermochromic indicator has also be considered as part of the design concept to allow the user to check the the charge capacity of each individual cell.
