Nocturne is a bookstore and coffee shop located in the South of France that carries books and trinkets from Provence in both French and English to accommodate all the international travelers that make their way through the small medieval city. Nocturne in French means nocturnal, which is fitting for a bookstore that is open late into the night for all the night owl readers. I chose to use Baskerville because it is friendly and classic old style typeface that references the type in books. The r is over the n like the waning of the moon. The brand mark is a simplified version of the waning moon to allude to the fact that nocturne is open late. I created a graphically interesting to showcase the limited selection of drinks and pastries in an interesting way, along with creative posters to showcase their events.
