Character Design Project - Good Vs. Evil Theme

Good Character - Finished Vector IIlustration #1

This character was inspired by and designed for, and named after my son, Leon Eli. This character does battle with evil mythical beast creatures called Bugbears, half bug, half bear, which come forth from the forest at night to scare sleeping children.

Some sketches from the project
Main Protagonist - Leon Eli. His strenght is drawn from being courageous in his battle against the bugbears.
Main Antagonist - Leader of the Bugbear Clan, He comes out of the forest at night to scare sleeping children by appearing in their dreams, and seeks to defeat Leon Eli, the only kid capable of foiling his plans.

Protagonist - Turnaround Vector drawings
Antagonist Turnarounds - Vector Drawings
Bugbear (Dramatic - 2 point lighting frontal view)
Bugbear character - Close up on face and body texture
Quick compilation of my digital workflow and process for my illustrations
3 point lighting - Both of the clay models shot together
Bugbear Dramatic shot #2 - shot upwards from slightly below, I was able to get some interesting effects playing around with adding coloured lights.
And finally, an action shot featuring the two characters, looking over the shoulder of my antagonist, down towards the much smaller appearing Leon Eli in the distance. I also wanted to pick up on some of that back hair detail on the Bugbear, which I feel looks I accomplished. Overall I'm very satisfied with my process and results throughout this project.
