OS Calendar for 2016
The aim was to add value to an otherwise fairly generic design.
2016 OS CALENDAR
The previous year's calendar was uninspiring with nothing to distinguish it. The creative idea for the new calendar was to add interesting content taken from 12 different OS Explorer maps, where each month's image was located. Each month was supplemented by a four-page, foldable content section which included a Route of the Month, activities, events and points of interest within the featured map area. I wrote the content, all copy as well as the design and even completed the artwork.
On the basis of the design concept alone, a national retailer placed an order of 15,000 copies.

The reverse of each calendar page carries four sections of content with routes, places to see and things to do.
The reverse page is foldable to an A5 booklet.
The handy size is perfect to be used when venturing outdoors.
The design has been extremely well-received and advance sales indicate it'll be a great success.
