There were many points of inspiration that led to the creation of "Luck," a men's activewear collection for Spring/Summer 2016. They include: tennis, Chinese art and design, and modern art - specifically works such as Sol Lewitt's "Wall Drawing No. 652" and Mark Rothko's color plane paintings. As such, the collection itself is full of intersecting planes of color that flow across the body. In addition to this, I developed large-scale prints incorporating the Chinese characters for "Luck" and "Double Happiness," which I thought to be a fun nod to sports player's good-luck charms and superstitions. The collection has a range of pieces for a man's active lifestyle including: compression tops, t-shirts, tank tops, leggings, track pants, and shorts.
