Project Overview
As part of the Hudson Square Connection and the business improvement district (BID), capital funding was allocated to enhance public spaces in the area. SoHo square serves a sizable residential, student and working population. Because of this, a sizable portion of the BID funding was aimed to the square. This academic exercise explores principles of open space design and proposes use of innovative technologies for storm water management and public space activation.
