For this project, I was in a typography class and we were studying the different parts of letters and classifications of typography. In the assignment, we were to choose three typefaces and zoom in to the same parts of each letter, examining what makes them different and interesting. In the study, I chose to pick three old-style g's, and study their intricacies Each column is a different typeface, from left to right we have Bembo Standard, ITC New Baskerville and Gill Sans MT Pro. From top to bottom, we have the link of the g's loop (I really found it interesting how Bembo's g doesn't have one), then the link and finally the ear. I organized this so that when one steps away from the piece, they become disconnected from the specifics of the typography and see the beauty in the curves and shapes, seeing this wonderful flower pattern.
