Taking a look at the exact street I grew up on, 175th street in between St. Nicholas and Audubon in Washington Height, specific objects and scenarios always come to mind. On Audubon street you witness the entreprenerurial side of the street in which family run businesses run the avenure by day and the drug dealers run it by night, on St. Nicholas you have a Catholic church and all the older women who love to spend hours on end gossiping and catching up. Yet overall everyone in the block sits out during the summer months on the sidewalk to socialize. These three characteristics summarize 175 also known as, The Hot Fifth.
