Stairwell
Paper installation
6.8 x 4.2 x 3.8m

This site-specific installation was part of a larger experiential art piece 'Stairwell to Heaven', a collaboration with other student artists from Yale-NUS College.

The 17 stairwells of our temporary residential college were used as a site to celebrate our transformation of this liminal space into our home, as we await the completion of our new campus.
To celebrate the spirit of our community, I sought to involve the community by asking students to donate their unwanted printed notes for my installation.

These sheets were folded, rolled, and hung in various configurations to transform people’s perception of the ordinary stairwell, mirroring our collective transformation of the residential college building.
