This piece was the final project in an MFA Editorial Design class. The project was to create and design an editorial publication on a chosen subject. I chose to do my publication on the Communication Design MFA program at Texas State. My purpose was to create a better sense of community within the program, as most of our classes and students are non-traditional (meaning little face-to-face interaction). By sharing work done by students, information and news about the program and the industry, as well as challenging readers to contribute to the paper, Designed can become a major point of connection for the program and its members.
