Inspired by the research of Brené Brown, my collection explores the philosophy that connection cannot exist without vulnerability, and that with vulnerability comes power and strength. It is said that “You cannot selectively numb emotion. Numb the dark and you numb the light”. Daring Greatly plays on this idea of light vs. dark, connection vs. lack of connection, and strength vs. fragility, while showing how it is imperative to open yourself up to vulnerability in order to live a fulfilled life.
