This publication contains my masterthesis where I investigate a possible takeover of the machine in visual arts & graphic design. Considering the increasing accessibility of this medium.
My thesis is followed by a chapter about the process designing and building the Decap Drawing Devicesupplied with images, sketches and results of the three versions (so far).

The design is inspired by an assembly line, typical for the machine, which is represented in the central belt that contains images running throughout the book.
The cover is a wrapped plan of the machine explaining its operation.
