"The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and the scars of war." Douglas MacArthur

The Peace of Mind Bridge crosses over the Potomac River. It commemorates soldiers who come home from war suffering with wounds beyond physical damage. Peace can begin when soldiers talk openly about their stuggles with PTSD with fellow soldiers and officers, forming healing connections within their relationships.

This bridge offers a place to reflect and appreciate life by offering a place to sit alone or with others, to walk up the top or across the length of the structure.
