This was a logo design I made for a friend of mine a few weeks back. I included the 3 stages of the logo to show the refinement process. I also had to change the typeface in the final version and add the little accents in Illustrator.

From the first version, I curved the text and tried to make the frame around the duck more ornate. My friend liked this and just asked for more to be added to this part of the logo from there.
This is the final version. This one of the first times I've designed something entirely for someone else, so it was a good learning experience, and I'm pretty happy with the final result.
