The presidential campaigns are in full swing and Donald Trump is taking the media by storm with his constant insults.  The author Daryl Cagle drew the cartoon “Trump the Media and Republicans” to argue his side of the Donald Trump controversy.
The argument that Cagle is trying to make is that the media is too focused on Trumps controversial statements rather than the important parts of the presidential campaign.  The author is focused on convincing the voters of America of his point.  Cagle is trying to persuade his audience to sway their attention away from Donald Trump and back to the presidential campaign. That way they can make the best decision for the future of America. Cagle is mocking Trump and all of the stupid things that he says and is trying to persuade his audience that Donald Trump would not make a good president because of some of the ways he has conducted himself recently.  By diminishing the credibility of the media and Trump, Cagle can effectively persuade the voters that the Republican Party is not a good choice in this election. He uses tone, colors, and cartoons to get this point across to his audience.
