La Garbatella è uno dei segreti più belli tra i tanti custoditi da Roma. Non è il quartiere più antico, né più ricco di storia o di cultura.
E' però un piccolo paese al centro di una grande città, con un'architettura molto particolare, ispirata al concetto di "città giardino", dove ogni piccolo gruppo di case potesse raccogliersi intorno a degli spazi verdi comuni.
Nato come quaritere residenziale per i meno abbienti, dopo cento anni dalla sua fondazione è una delle mete più suggestive e meno conosciute della capitale.
E' anche il quartiere dove sono nato.


Garbatella is one of the best well kept secret among many found in Rome. It is neither the most ancient, or culturally richer neighborhood in the city.
However is a small town in the heart of a big city, showing a peculiar architecture inspired by the concept of "green town" where every small group of houses was built around common gree areas.

Thought as residential area for workers and rednecks, after one hundred years since it was founded is nowadays one of the most interesting and less known places in our capital.
It is by the way also the place where I was born.
