Overview of the process
Rough Sketch. Not much detail,
Clean lines. For this kind of line I like to use Corel Painter, I use a brush called Fine Point, very useful for a clean look.
Solid Colors
Shadows. For this I used a single layer with reduced opacity in the Darker Color blending mode.
Shadows and lights alone. Seeing this layers without the others helps a lot to see if the lightning is working properly.
Shadow, lights and solid colors and no lines.
