A World Without Bees

Bees are dying. This dramatic development will have extensive consequences for flora, fauna and humans. Our goal for this project was to raise awareness for this topic by visually highlighting the fragile complexity behind the system. We created a science-fiction scenario in a world after the bees have gone extinct, in which design faces new challenges to help people adapt through products and services. The exhibition is an interactive, multi-medial space, that stimulates the audience to reflect on our current perplexing situation.
The exhibition features a store concept, infographics, a video game designed to teach children that humans are now responsible for pollination, designs for hand-pollination tools and services, a pollination training, an illustrated childrens' book and more.

The exhibition was showcased at Köln International School of Design in Köln, Germany (30.01.2015) and at Villa Hammerschmidt in Bonn, Germany (14.06.2015).
