The challenge in this project was to create alphabetic letters that graphically represent the true essence of a birthday. I got inspired by my childhood birthday memories and the exciting experience of eating cake. Therefore, the medium I decided to use was birthday cake and frosting. By using these materials each letter had a unique organic form, each letter was cut out from different pieces of cakes and assembled with frosting. What I desire for the viewer is to be amused in such a way just like a kid at his or her birthday party eating cake.
