During my time as a creative intern at The Rock School for Dance Education I experienced firsthand many facets of the School's day-to-day operations. It was a wonderful experience for me to grow in the arts community of Philadelphia. I worked on multiple projects with the school’s social media and creative marketing department. Some of the larger projects I worked on included creating a new website dedicated for The Rock School Alumni on Square Space, photographing summer intensive students both in class and in their end of the summer performances, helping edit and organize the ad sales prospect list, publish and edit posts on numerous social media platforms and translating documents. The work environment, while very busy, was intimate and personal; everyone interacted and worked together on a daily basis.  As a result, I felt very comfortable communicating my own ideas and views with the other staff members. Not only will I leave this internship with a firm grasp on what I’ve learned this summer, but I will have attained useful networking and marketing abilities that will be directly applicable to my goals after graduation. I now feel as though I have learned more about the city in which I live and am excited to be part of such a wonderful community.
