This project was about recycling everyday or mundane items and elevating them into something ‘precious’. I selected recycled materials and used contrast hard and soft properties e.g. sew with wire (hard) into a duster (soft), or sew with shoelaces (soft) into plastic bottles (hard). I used a variation of plastics wires straw paper and tried to create something new with them and explore new techniques.
