Festival Branding Exercise

The goal with this project was to create a unified branding and theme for the 2015 ATP festival in Iceland. This unified visual identity could be used over several types of promotional media that communicate a message while retaining the same visual theme. The main way I could make my design new and interesting was to depart from the original concepts of an artists images with the event info centred on it. I wanted to move away from animals and mythical creatures and create a more abstract style while still feeling tied into Iceland and its surroundings. While the ATP festival is non profit I didn’t feel that the festival need to look unprofessional and thrown together as some of the past branding has, The idea was to create a clean sharp look while keeping with the honest indie feel of the festival
