Ever since I was about 6 or 7, I knew that I wanted to become a professional referee. Every 7 year-old's dream was to make the World Cup. I was a 7 year old that was different. I wanted to make the World Cup, not as a player, but as a referee. I would dream about walking on to the field with my 2 AR's and my 4th Official, performing the coin toss, and then blowing my whistle for kickoff. That is and still is my dream.
Professional Referee Organization (better known as PRO) is the organization responsible for managing the referee and assistant referee program in professional soccer leagues in the United States and Canada, working alongside the U.S. Soccer Federation, Major League Soccer, Canadian Soccer Association, the North American Soccer League, United Soccer League, National Women's Soccer League and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The organization's targets are to increase the quality of officiating in U.S. and Canadian professional leagues, develop more professional-quality officials at a younger age, and produce officials who will represent the United States and Canada in FIFA competitions.
