During my internship at BAM Architecture Studio last year, one of my tasks was to create various graphics for website and blog announcements. I loved producing posters for the blog, as I was allowed to infuse them with my own decorative style. I was inspired by Art Deco architecture and Art Nouveau posters at the time. I learnt a lot about mixing typography with image, and how to translate my design aesthetic into a digital format -- a great experience! Here is a selection of my favourite web posters, both published and unpublished, along with pre-liminary pencil sketches.

BAM Outing to Grand Central
Background: this poster was for a blog post about an office scavenger hunt at Grand Central in New York.
The characters depicted in this piece were all those who attended the event, whilst the main elements of the graphic
were inspired by the architectural environment.

Some details from the original pencil sketch were excluded from the final, as to reach a more harmonious composition.

The colours, ceiling, and the arched windows & hallways of New York's Grand Central
were my main references.
In the first drafts, I experimented with a minimal look.
From there, I fleshed out the composition, until I came to the final solution.
Colouring/Digital Rendering
When working in Adobe Illustrator, I normally treat each part like a building block to a house.
Here's how I put all the little pieces together.
