This collection is called ‘SAYA’ which means sheath/scabbard in Japanese. It can also mean shell or pod. It is meant for an urban girl with a bohemian vibe. The collection was inspired by Asian and European warrior wear. I referenced not only metal armor, but the under armor and clothes that warriors wear when not in armor too. There is a mix of hard/soft and opaque/sheer in the collection. I liked to combine masculine and feminine silhouettes. Most of the silhouettes are oversized to give a protective shell look to them.
