These are three ink illustrations for Inking class at SCAD. We had to come up with three compositions, and I decided I wanted to focus on a creating pieces with an old time newspaper/magazine feel to them, so these are what I created. The first is a cash cow, with the Bank of 'Murica crushing the barn behind it. The second is a still life focusing on textures, and the third involves several illustrations of Starlandia, an art store owned by my friend Clinton Edminster (pictured on the right). Clinton is usually bursting with energy and is probably the most cheerful person I know, so I thought it'd be funny to depict him looking depressed, since it's so against his nature. I had a contest on Facebook with the picture I illustrated asking for funny quotes to go along with it, and the winning quote is seen beneath it.
