Kelsey Kawamoto's 2015 Childrenswear Collection was inspired by the "epitome of childhood." Enveloped in a nostalgic state of mind, Kelsey looked back to the time in which her own mother was a 6 year girl, growing up in America in the 1960's. The iconic Kennedy family and free spirited attitude of the American society gave Kelsey a vision for combining classic with a dose of contemporary quirk. In this collection Kelsey created playful silhouettes, texture, and print with a hint of maturity; giving the collection a grown-up quality. Kelsey combined wools, leathers, printed knits, hand-felting, and applique to create a truly unique and spirited line for the modern 5-7 year old girl.
