I Am Half

Inspired by Plato’s Symposium, I Am Half explores the basis of our human form and how we may have once shared the same body with another soul before being split. The separation that we have suffered has resulted in our constant need and desire for company, for love, to be close to someone, our constant effort to rid the existential loneliness ( a condition that embodies our society). I Am Half blurs the lines between different types of relationships, affirming that pain brought about through separation isn’t just an emotional state but a physical incapacity that is felt by all in love, transcending all hierarchies, archetypes, and barriers formed by society.
