This is a community centre project in Lincoln,UK. The project was developed in this particular site firstly because it is located at a spot with high pedestrian traffic as it is in-between the city’s main

university campus and High Street and secondly because there was a great potential to redevelop

the square next to it and provide better connections through the site and better landscaping.

 

At the ground floor of this three-storey steel structure building, one can find a food court with a couple

of fast food restaurants, a cafeteria and seating areas with views over the river and the interior and exterior gardens. At the floors above there is a music studio, art studio, cooking workshop, offices, classrooms for learning foreign languages, meeting rooms, and a yoga room. The perforated steel metal façade pattern is inspired by the shapes of the surrounding buildings’ shapes.
