Greedfest
Rationale:
This event poster is themed towards the Sin of Greed, in this case, the need for an early buying to a trading card pack that is not available anywhere else. As for the piece itself, it illustrates a distorted space of many hand-like figures attracted to a single object, giving the sense of the objects distortion of people’s mindsets, who want nothing more than to get the object they desire.
Process:
Adding contrast to the stone texture image, it became almost bright white with texture leftover, which allows the filtered watercolor painting to become the central focus of the piece. It is then liquified for a more prominant limb result and layout as a poster.
