Found Object Collage Art

The first found object collage in this series won a national contest put on by Dick Blick in 2017. It started with a piece of varnished wood, chopsticks and a bunch of wine corks. It also has metal nuts and bolts, decorative knobs, a cat-woman crazy straw and other plastic delights. Objects were layered to create textures and levels. It's painted over with gel medium and gold metallic powder paint.

The second collage started with a piece of wood flooring and a picture frame. I added objects by screwing most of them into the wood backing. I added antique metal keys, an old wooden hairbrush, a broken copper cork screw and other metal things. To create a distressed look, I partially painted some of the areas with white paint.
