A different take on Eric Gill's most popular font - Gill Sans. The aim of this brief was to design and create different and unsual to what the typographer would do. The final outcome would have to be a poster. After doing some extensive research on Eric Gill and the font Gill Sans, I realised that the font was mainly made for corporate purposes. Something unsual to this would be sizing the type down as Gill Sans is used for large formats for example, shop titles. Another way I have shown to use Gill Sans differently is by engraving type using the laser cutter which Gill wouldn't have done as it is so corporate.
