Cultural Poster - SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival
In 2016 SCAD will be celebrate the 35th Anual Sidewalk Art Festival.
This year this event was cancelled because Savannah was suffering with strong a storm and rain.
This event brings houndred of people, who visit Savannah and they have the opportunity to see how SCAD students create masterpiece out chalk.
Challenge:
Create a poster in a certain way different from other posters that SCAD had been doing. This opportunity to create a new poster have to be special because SCAD will be celebrate 35 years of this event. Create a deliverables as a poster using the enviroment which will be present in class. This poster will represent the main idea of this event.
Communication Strategy
Audience: Students High School, SCAD students, and alumni
Visual Thinking: This events brings families and turists all over USA. Actually this event is schedule in the SCAD familiy days and Alumni weekend.

Concept
I decided to do something different. I thought that this poster have to be unique that represent the spirit of art the festival. I started to do more research and I found out that students like to stain their self with chalk. Some students like to do that and it looks like a tattoo but made of chalk. For this reason, I decided to use a hand, which is holding a piece of chalk. This hand is in black and white, but the chalk and the background have beautiful colors.
