The focus of this project is the design and production of a printed volume showcasing the work of UC creative writing students. The book, entitled "FIRST", is produced annually and this year our class is being entrusted with its design. We are very fortunate to have real content to work with (complete with real deadlines) and an added bonus is that one person's design will be selected and go into real production.

The project will see you engaging with the technicalities of book production, as well as exploring creative opportunities. Ultimately your final work must be technically "print-ready" but also aesthetically engaging and tailored to the FIRST content.
