Styling South Florida To Sell
Styled by Lynda Quintero-Davids
Due to a recent job promotion for my husband, his company relocated us from South Florida out west to Arizona. We found out about the promotion during the second week in September. Knowing the housing market is sluggish, especially in South Florida, I quickly set out to depersonalize our home to a stylish house for sale. Keeping in mind, many South Floridians are style seekers, I did not just remove everything from all the rooms to only show space.  I strategically balanced a mix of on trend decor to set a lifestyle people would be drawn to when they toured the space. I also ensured all closets and drawers were organized, any cosmetic repairs needed were complete (ie holes in walls from picture removals), and gave the trim - both inside and out - a fresh coat of paint. Although the home is located in a tropical resort climate, I also used tasteful touches of Fall colors through the home, including utilizing apple & cinnamon scented candles for showings. Within a week of listing our property, we had six showings and three offers.
