WWE Arena - June Edition

I started modelling this arena back in Febuary but I wasn't able to get it working right, in this project I want to talk about the creative steps forwards and backwards to I took to create this environment.
The stage took about 6 hours to create, the hardest part is the side areas. The long textured parts between the LED boards are Versatube columns, made out of a Cloner Object. Getting them to look just as they do on TV was a hard long process but I think the end result was worth it as they look quite accurate. All the boards have an tile texture on the Alpha channel of the texture file, this creates the LED bulb look. The moving heads on the versatube columns have a light object with a lens effect giving off the smooth glow. All of the lights in the object are controlled by one object called the XPresso Controller.
This was a failed attempt at an arena I tried to make a few months back, the base of the arena is a polygon object with the chairs being a cloner object, although this approach could work really well but the corners proved to be too much of a problem and I just couldn't figure it out. It was best left alone and I moved onto another project.
To break up the monotony of crafting arenas I decided to animate the stage alone with some upgrades. I found some flaws with the stage, such as some polygons out of place and objects not working properly. I recreated the LED boards to line up with textures properly as they were not lining up properly. I also decided to use a different ring. I created a new ring for another project I was doing and found it best to just use that ring and retexture it.
Unfortunatly I didn't have enough time to do the Elimination Chamber structure before the event tonight, 31st May, but I feel the venue is nice, clean and well structured. The venue is incredibly small and that is just because I didn't really plan out the size before creating the arena.
