The annual IGBO bowling tournaments are awarded to select cities and hosted by regional bowling leagues around the country. The NY/NJ tournament coincided with Fleet Week in New York City. The concept was to utilize that nautical theme throughout the tournament, honoring the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. The opening reception for the tournament was held at the Westin, Jersey City with the backdrop of the Hudson River where participants were given their welcoming packet and information.
